How Vehicle tracking works

Coyote (example using a 2 minute GPS update):

  1. Coyote Unit installed in your vehicle monitors the Global Position System (GPS) and updates internal position every 1 second.
  2. Every 2 minutes a new GPS message is transmitted to the Cellular Network (location, speed, heading).
  3. The TYT Network Operations Center receives the GPS message and posts to your NetTrack customer database.
  4. Your see your vehicle update with the latest GPS information and move to the new location on the map.

SkyRunner:

  1. The SkyRunner unit operates in much the same way except that a satellite is used instead of the Cellular Network.
  2. The GPS message is transmitted via an MSAT satellite covering North America to the TYT NOC.
